This full day retreat is all about women’s strength and empowerment! You’ll experience fun and energizing fitness classes, nourishing and balancing yoga sessions, learn about nutrition and hormones from a Naturopathic Doctor, experience self care massage techniques with aromatherapy, and finish it all with a luxurious sound bath. Not to mention you’ll be connecting with other ladies just like you on a path to greater health, fitness and wellness. It will be an experience you’ll never forget!
10am Welcome and Orientation
10:15am Core with Mary. Our core muscles are key in preventing injury. Learning how to engage them to support and brace your body during heavy lifts is essential. Often overlooked priming exercises can be the key to maintaining your physical strength as you age. In this workshop we’ll train the major muscles of the core and set your abs on fire!
11:15am Nutrition for Healthy Hormones with Dr Baili Clarke. A discussion on the unique hormonal shifts women navigate through fitness transformations and other life transitions.
11:45am Break
12pm Booty Band Bootcamp with Mikayla. 30 minutes of glute focused band work to build, strengthen and tone your back side.
12:30pm Lunch Break.
1:15pm Free the Body Free the Mind 5Rythyms with Julie. In this introductory 5Rhythms® offering, you will experience the joy and freedom that is available to you in your body-heart-mind when you embrace and surrender to this free-form movement practice. 5Rhythms® founder, Gabrielle Roth, says: "5Rhythms® practice is a journey towards freeing the body, expressing the heart, emptying the mind, awakening the soul and embodying the spirit." This class will be taught using Silent Disco headphones - an experience not to be missed!
1:45pm Yin Yoga with Melissa. Prepare the nervous system for rest and relaxation. This yoga practice is calming and soothing with postures done all on the floor and held for up to 5 minutes each. Body awareness, mindfulness, and acceptance are cultivated during Yin Yoga.
2:15pm Break
2:30pm Massage and Aromatherapy with Shannon. Discover self massage techniques to help reduce muscle tension and improve lymphatic drainage, along with demonstrations and guidance on how to use aromatherapy oils as a tool for self-care.
3:30pm Yoga Nidra with Lesley. During this practice of svasana students are guided through various meditative practices to more and more relaxed states of being - close to dream like without actually falling asleep. This practice is said to provide the same deep healing and restorative qualities of regular sleep in a fraction of the time.
4pm Sound Bath with Melissa. Experience deep rest and relaxation while aligning with your whole being in a soothing meditation with beautiful crystal bowls.
4:30pm Closing Session. Wrapping up the days activities.
